No applause. No life. No pain. Claudia Larcher, Solo exhibition, Francisco Carolinum, Linz, 2026

“No applause. no life. no pain.” unfolds a panorama of change: the extinction of species, the erosion of shared cultural spaces, and the transformation of our perception in the age of generative AI. In her films, installations, and AI-based works, Claudia Larcher connects ecological questions with reflections on the future of cinema and image production.

Listening at the Edge: Sound, Quantum Physics, and the Act of Attention, panel discussion, MUTEK Montréal, 2026

Pauline Oliveros’ Deep Listening practice asked us to expand our awareness to include all sounds, inner and outer. Quantum physics, in a strange parallel, describes a universe where observation itself changes what is observed. This session brings those two ideas into dialogue, gathering quantum physicists, composers, sonic healers, and curators to ask: what is listening? and does the physics of uncertainty change the answer?
